Programme Educational Objectives

PEO1: To prepare students to perform well in higher studies and to meet the needs of

industry.


PEO2: To provide the students with a knowledge in mathematics, basic engineering

principles and the fundamentals of instrumentation and control engineering


PEO3: To provide an opportunity for students to excel in communication skills, to work

as a part of a team, take up multi disciplinary tasks and to realize the impact of

engineering solutions for the social development.


PEO4: To promote the awareness of lifelong learning among the students and inculcate

professional ethics and codes

Programme Outcomes

  1. Solve engineering problems using fundamental knowledge of mathematics, science and basic engineering concepts.

  2. Monitor and control industrial process using suitable measuring instruments and control system.

  3. Solve problems related to instrumentation engineering by conducting suitable experiments.

  4. Solve engineering problems using appropriate technologies and tools.

  5. Use the acquired knowledge to assess safety and environmental issues related with engineering practices in society

  6. Demonstrate the knowledge and need for sustainable development by understanding the impact of the engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts.

  7. Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

  8. Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in multidisciplinary teams.

  9. Communicate effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in multidisciplinary teams.

  10. Engage in independent and life-long learning in the context of technological changes.
